Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko, the Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai athlete from Peru, and a mixed martial art artist who is a part of her country in UFC at the flyweight division,. She is now competing. Shevchenko's older sister is of the former UFC Flyweight champ as well as the other UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sporting career with an Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimous decision. Antonina took home a trophy of silver in 2007, and a medal of bronze in 2008, and she won a gold medal in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA Amateur World Muaythai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia began her professional career with her debut in 2003. She was the winner of the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's fight for her final title took place at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She won by a an unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut was in 2002, at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She was victorious via TKO in the second round. She she went on to win her next two fights at the WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. This gave her the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA to concentrate on kickboxing. She came back against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa via unanimous decision and the next day, she defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She was let go of the competition and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's striking skills were superior and permitted her to TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. The result was that Antonina was able to sign an UFC contract. Antonina was offered her a UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko took the win by unanimous decision, but she lost her second fight with Roxanne Modafferi with a split decision. Antonina bounced back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke. She was also awarded the fight of the night bonus during the fight. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn Cookagian and then was able to defeat Ariane Lipski's three fights. In the past, Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
